Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancel whenever you like, keep what you paid for until the period ends, and if the product did not do what we said it does, ask us for your money back. This page says exactly how that works.
01Who this policy is from
This policy applies to every payment made to SEO Fix Agent through seofixagent.com and forms part of our Terms of Service.

- [email protected]
SEO Fix Agent is currently operated under this trading name. Registered company details will be published in this block as soon as the entity is formed; until then all legal notices should be sent to the contact address above and will be answered from it.
02The short version
- Cancel any time from the Stripe customer portal. No email, no retention call, no notice period.
- Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep Pro access and your credits until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Consumers in the EU and the UK have a 14-day right of withdrawal. We honour it in proportion to what you have used — see section 4.
- Unused credits from a purchase in the last 14 days are refundable. Consumed credits are not — the work was done.
- Beyond the legal minimum, if the Service failed you, tell us. We refund genuine problems without an argument.
03What you are actually buying
SEO Fix Agent is prepaid. Money buys credits; credits buy work. There are exactly two paid products:
| Product | Price | What it grants | Renews? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro subscription | $10 per month | 1,000 credits granted each month, plus Pro features | Yes, monthly, until cancelled |
| Credit top-up | $10 one-time | 1,000 credits added to your balance immediately | No |
Taxes are calculated and added at checkout by Stripe Tax based on the billing location you provide. Refunds include any tax charged on the refunded amount.
A site audit costs 1 credit and a keyword search costs 1 credit. Credits are a unit of account: they are not money, not transferable between accounts, and — outside the refund situations described here — not redeemable for cash. New accounts receive 75 free credits, which are a gift and carry no monetary value.
04The 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom — that is, buying outside your trade, business or profession — you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving any reason.
Why we ask you to consent to immediate performance
Credits are digital content supplied immediately: the moment your payment succeeds, the credits are in your balance and you can spend them. At checkout you therefore agree that performance begins straight away, and you acknowledge that once you start consuming credits you lose the withdrawal right for the part that has been performed (Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and the equivalent UK regulations).
How we actually apply it — more generously than the minimum
Strictly speaking, consenting to immediate supply could extinguish the right entirely. We do not read it that way. Within 14 days of a payment:
- If you have consumed no credits from that purchase, we refund it in full.
- If you have consumed some of them, we refund the value of the credits still unused, at the price you paid per credit ($0.01 per credit at current prices).
- The 75 free signup credits are always spent last in this calculation, so a refund is never reduced by credits you never paid for.
You buy a $10 top-up of 1,000 credits and run 120 audits over the next week, then decide the tool is not for you. You have 880 unused credits from that purchase, so we refund $8.80 plus the tax charged on it, and remove the remaining credits from your balance.
To withdraw, simply email us as described in section 9. You may use the model withdrawal form from the Consumer Rights Directive, but a plain sentence saying you want to withdraw is enough. Business customers do not have a statutory withdrawal right, but section 7 still applies to them.
05Unused versus consumed credits
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Credits unused, purchased within the last 14 days | Refundable in full at the price paid |
| Credits already spent on audits or keyword searches | Not refundable — the work was performed and delivered |
| Credits consumed by a request that failed because of a fault on our side | Restored to your balance at no charge; tell us and we will fix it |
| Credits unused, purchased more than 14 days ago | Not automatically refundable, but they do not expire while your account is open |
| The 75 free signup credits | No monetary value, never refundable |
| Credits remaining when you delete your account | Forfeited on deletion — spend them or request a refund first |
Every grant and every spend is recorded in the credit ledger on your billing page, with a reason and a timestamp. That ledger is what we use to work out a refund, and you can read it before you ask.
06Cancelling a subscription
- Open the billing page in your dashboard.
- Click through to the Stripe customer portal — the same portal that holds your invoices and payment method.
- Cancel the subscription there. It takes one click and takes effect immediately.
What cancellation does:
- No further payments are taken.
- Access continues to the end of the period you paid for. If you cancel on day 3 of a month you have paid for, you keep Pro until day 30.
- Credits already granted stay in your balance and remain spendable after the subscription ends. Cancelling does not confiscate them.
- Your account stays open on the free tier, with your projects, audit history and saved keywords intact. Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting an account.
We do not pro-rate a partly used month by default, because you keep the credits and the access for the whole month. If you cancel within 14 days of the first payment on a new subscription and have used none of that month's credits, section 4 applies and we refund the payment in full.
07Refunds beyond the legal minimum
Statutory rights are the floor, not the ceiling. Outside the 14-day window we will normally refund in these cases:
- You were charged twice for the same thing, or charged after cancelling — always refunded in full, immediately.
- The Service was materially broken for a meaningful part of a period you paid for, and we could not fix it in reasonable time — refunded pro rata.
- A feature you paid for was removed or materially degraded during a period you paid for — refunded pro rata for the remainder of that period.
- You were billed for a renewal you plainly did not intend — for example you had not used the account at all since the previous renewal. Tell us within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it.
- We terminated your account for a reason other than your breach — the unused portion of the current period and the value of unused purchased credits are refunded.
If your situation is not on this list and you still feel a refund is fair, write to us and say why. We would rather decide it as people than hide behind a policy page.
08What we will not refund
- Credits already consumed by successfully completed audits or keyword searches.
- Payments where the account was suspended or terminated for a material breach of the Terms of Service — for example abuse of rate limits, auditing sites you had no right to audit, or multiple accounts created to farm free credits.
- Dissatisfaction with search rankings, traffic or revenue. We provide analysis and fix prompts; search engines decide rankings, and we never promise an outcome.
- Losses caused by changes a coding agent made to your site from one of our prompts. Review changes before you ship them.
- Third-party costs — your hosting, your developer's time, your other subscriptions.
- The 75 free signup credits, which cost nothing.
09How to request a refund
There is no form and no phone tree. Email [email protected] with “Refund request” in the subject line and include:
- the email address on your account, so we can find you;
- the charge you want refunded — date and amount, or the Stripe receipt or invoice number;
- whether it is a subscription payment or a credit top-up;
- a sentence about what happened. “Changed my mind, bought it yesterday” is a perfectly acceptable reason inside the 14 days.
Send it from the address on the account where possible. If you cannot, we may ask a question to confirm the account is yours before refunding.
10How and when you get the money
- We acknowledge every refund request within 2 working days.
- We decide and process it within 14 days of receiving it — and usually much sooner.
- Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card, to a bank transfer, or as account credit unless you ask for credit instead.
- Your bank then takes its own time — typically 5 to 10 working days — before the money appears on your statement. That part is out of our hands.
- Refunds include the tax that was charged on the refunded amount. We charge no administration fee.
- When a purchase is refunded, the corresponding unused credits are removed from your balance and the reversal is recorded in your ledger.
If we decline a request, we will tell you why, in plain language, and point at the part of this policy we relied on.
11Failed payments and price changes
- If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it over a few days and emails you. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and your account moves to the free tier. Credits already in your balance remain yours.
- We give at least 14 days' notice by email before any price increase affects your subscription. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it takes effect — nothing is charged at the new rate without that notice.
- If a price rises mid-period, the period you already paid for is unaffected.
12Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. Chargebacks cost us fees and take weeks, and almost every dispute we have seen would have been resolved by a single message.
While a chargeback is open on your account we may suspend paid features until it is resolved. If a chargeback is raised for a payment we had already refunded, or in connection with a breach of the Terms of Service, we may close the account.
13Contact
Refund requests, cancellation questions and billing problems go to [email protected]. Consumers in the EU and the UK keep all statutory rights described in the Terms of Service, including the right to complain to a national consumer-protection authority; nothing in this policy limits them.
